What is the best way to keep my cats in my new fenced yard?
I am moving to a new house with a smaller yard with an 8ft privacy fence. They are indoor cats but they like to go outside sometimes and I fear that they might jump the fence. I don’t want them wandering in the street or neighbor’s yard. A long leash? Put a cover over the backyard like a big bird cage at the zoo? I really love my cats and don’t wish to risk losing them.

Building a new wooden fence plz help!?
I am 20 yr old from washington, I bought a duplex. one side has a wooden fence 6′ long and about 5 inches wide and half inch thick OLD boards. The posts gave in so the previous landlord put up some metal stands and tied up rope to hold the post and the rest of the fence. It’s a matter of time until is collapses. It’s just old and ugly. I have no construction experience whatsoever but I want to learn. I want to build a new fence, tear up old and put new. Is this really hard? What are the steps? I know you need to cement the posts but I mean I never did is it that hard? Is it possible to actually figure it out and have the posts solid? I don’t want to pay a contractor these bastards here charge TOO much and it really wouldn’t be worth it. I need input, perhaps steps, deeply appreciate it in advance. God Bless!

I have bought a new build house the neighbour is not satisfied with the 6 ft boarder fence and we are now being forced 2 erect a 6ft fence panel on our raised verandah outside our patio doors and also a 6ft fence running alongside the decking below the verandah. This will mean having 2 live in an enclosed garden like a shoebox! The local council has approved the plans that she has requested do we have to do as she wants?
